The Astonishing Ant-Man.

Ant-Man is a normal man who can shrink to any size, and who can talk to ants using his cybernetic helmet. I really like him as a character, because he sounds so useless but he's really not (even if most of his problems could be solved by growing to normal size).

The first Ant-Man, Henry Pym stopped being Ant-Man so he could be Giant-Man, a far less cool character.
The second Ant-Man, Scott Lang stole Pym's costume and became the second Ant-Man.

Pym's still around, but Scott Lang was caught in an explosion and killed in Avengers 500! That means the world needs a new Ant-Man (At least my world does...)! I was just messing around trying to "redesign" a new Ant-Man for fun. It's really similar to the original Ant-Man costume, save for a more modern helmet and more modern and fashionable belt placement.

His name is Alec Thermopoulos, a Greek-American who idolized the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym, when he was a kid, which is why he imitated Pym's original costume so much. The comics world needs a lot more diversity, so my Ant-Man has dark skin, hair, and eyes, instead of the white, blonde, blue-eyed Pym and Lang. It was a fun exercise.
